  • First and foremost, make sure your little ones have one “safe” costumes, meaning their vision in not obscured by anything covering their line of sight.   If costumes are dark in color make sure to have them carry glow sticks or a flashlight so they are visible to traffic.   Make sure the costume fits well and is not dragging on the ground to avoid trips and falls.   Costumes should be made of flame retardant materials.

  • Children should go to the bathroom before leaving the house, prior to putting on their costume

  • Adults should always accompany Trick –o- Treaters.

  • Only Trick –o- Treat at well lit houses

  • Stick to a time schedule and don’t Trick –o- Treat after 9 pm

  • Lastly, inspect all candy prior to allowing your child to eat it
